Have you every wanted to run in a 5k charity race but couldn’t because you can’t run? Have you ever watched the NYC Marathon and secretly wished you could be there with the participants? Well you can if you set your goal to do it!
This is the truth: Barring injuries, anyone can run and anyone can complete a Marathon.
Finishing a Marathon is one of THE long-term goals that can absolutely be achieved with hard work and the right training.
“How is that possible, I can’t even run to the corner?” Yes you can. ”How?” By starting slowly. First you run to the corner, and then around the block, and then around the park. You just keep building until you reach your goal be it a 5k (3.1 miles) or a Marathon (26.2 miles.) I know this because I’ve seen people who never believed they could run a race, elated when they cross the finish line and have reached their goal!
